PLANNING TIME§ Time
§ Costs
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT§ The availability of working hours per week for carrying out the research;
§ The time frame of the research (start to finish) and the need to meet deadlines for completion of the project.
ACCOUNTING FOR THE COSTS§ Should be determined with. Costs and human resources in mind
§ It is an iterative process
RESEARCHER SKILLS§ Estimate all possible costs at all phases of the study
§ For major costs think how you can cover them before you write them down
§ Technical skills and qualifications, or it might involve
§ Personal attributes that can be usefully employed to facilitate the inquiry (personal identity, networks, and contacts).
§ A schedule for completion of the research in the form of a Gantt chart outlining the plan of work;
§ Aan estimate of the total number of researcher hours needed to complete the work (broken down into preparation, data collection, data analysis, and writing up).
