1.0 HADITH ON THE GRADES:
• ماثور عن أبو الدرداء (وقيل عن النبي ﷺ) بلفظ: "اغدُ عالماً أو متعلماً، أو محباً، أو مستمعاً، ولا تكن الخامس فتهلك.
2.0 5 GRADES:
• First grade: ‘aalim.
• Second grade: learner.
• Third grade: lover of knowers.
• Fourth grade: listener.
• Fifth: the lost who hate the ulama.
3.0 CONTINUOUS LEARNING:
• اطلُبوا العلمَ من المهدِ إلى اللَّحدِ.
4.0 LEARNING IN CHILDHOOD:
• Intra-uterine effects of the mother’s talk or singing.
• Adhan and iqama at birth.
• Children who are stimulated by speaking have superior intellect.
• Parents must talk to children in complete sentences because they retain.
• Children must listen to the Qur’an and should be taken to the masjid to listen to knowledge, and we must tolerate their childhood behavior with gentle correction.
• If children do not go to the mosque in their early years, they may not go in their adult years.
5.0 ACTIVE LEARNING IN YOUTH:
• We need definite programs of Islamic tarbiyat.
• Use all media.
• Relate Islam to the realities of life so that the Qur’an is really the guide of our lives.
6.0 PASSIVE LEARNING IN LATER LIFE:
• Attend teachings in the mosque or any other venue.
• Listen to all credible sources of knowledge, but be selective in what you adopt.
• You learn better if you also teach.
• بلغوا عني ولو آية. البخاري.
7.0 EXPECTATIONS FROM THE SUMMER SCHOOL:
• Intellectual networking.
• Ask questions and think creatively.
• Relate Islamic knowledge to solving actual problems in society.
• Develop a love for research to get more knowledge.
• Appreciate the importance of integration of knowledge which emanates from the paradigm of tauhid.
